REPADS/CPSDA

REPADS: Regroupement pour la Promotion Des Actions en Developpement Soutenable.

CPSDA: Coalition for Promoting Sustainable Development in Action.

We are trying to help people in need in our local areas such as destitute and orphaned children and those without proper housing or education. We have many programs under development to help our people, including a children’s sponsorship program, training and education program, food security and agriculture program. You can help us in our work by supporting REPADS/CPSDA through a financial donation, volunteering in and with our community leaders and through your prayers.

PROGRAMS

KIDS SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM  SAVE LIVES (SL)

This program is designed to help children to become true citizens of our country through education. Unfortunately, due to the many economic problems in Haiti and the lack of employment for many of our citizens, the access to schools for children over the age of 5 is very difficult. Through the sponsorship program we hope to be able to encourage more children currently in school by tutoring them through our after school program. In addition, we are developing a child protection program to protect them against any and all kinds of abuse. The main objective of this program is to work for the well-being and further education of all our children in the most vulnerable positions and in the communities in need of immediate intervention.

    CONSTRUCTION  AND RECONSTRUCTION PROGRAM(CRP)

A lot of houses ( most of the inner city) were destroyed after the earthquake in 2010 and many of the people living in Port-au-Prince were left homeless and naturally they returned to their native native communities seeking shelter with their extended families. Through the CRP program we want to build new houses and repair the many other homes affected by the frequent natural disasters such as flooding, hurricanes, mud slides and cyclones. We want the people of Haiti living in decent conditions and with dignity. We need to live in appropriate and permanent shelters, not shanty type dwellings but strong buildings capable of withstanding strong winds and heavy rainfall. This program is designed to follow the same guidelines and priorities set out ( at the national level) by the current Haitian government.

EDUCATION, TRAINING  PROGRAM(ETP)
The level of development of any country depends on the level of education of it's citizens and especially the young people who are  the future decision makers. In Haiti, almost 50% of the general population is under the age of 18 and a large number of them do not have access to proper education and training. through the ETP Program REPADS wants to assist them by helping them to have better access to specific training in various fields which will contribute to their success as future professionals and entrepreneurs.

  LIVELIHOODS, FOOD PROGRAM (LFP)
With the “Livelihoods and Food Program” we are aiming to improve the living conditions of single family homes through employment and agriculture. REPADS is promoting and developing many activities in our agriculture division by supplying seeds, tools and knowledge to assist new farmers in growing their own food.
Through the purchase of small livestock (goats, hens and cows) we hope to create opportunities for people to raise their own animals which one day will produce milk, eggs, and future meals. We would also like to create small business activities (loans) and opportunities, especially for women, to contribute to the wellbeing of the family by helping mothers to find work or create new forms of employment so that they can help themselves.
